Realization

The best concepts, ideas and services are useless if they are not pragmatically implemented and continuously improved. This is the main reason why so much potential is left unrealized. Why?

The main reasons are:

  • too much complexity in methods and planning
  • the normal phases of uncertainty and resistance are underestimated or neglected
  • no clear and consistent leadership
  • Change is announced in kick-offs and planning documents, but little support is given to implementing the change.
  • lack of change management skills
  • planning, steering and controlling are lacking

ecm specializes in implementing your ideas and realizing your potential.

Coaching

Coaching has become a buzzword in the last few years. Here's our understanding of the term:

To demand, qualify, support and challenge human beings to become proactive in supporting your organization's goals.

We

  • question existing patterns of thinking
  • bring up new ideas and examine them critically
  • provide systematic methods and tools
  • play the role of “devil’s advocate” to daily work habits
  • accompany you on the journey to your personal and organizational development
  • point out limitations and blind spots and help you to manage them
  • are a “sparring partner” to test and challenge leadership problems
  • are a partner that helps you to perform new tasks
  • are a objective and experienced listener for everything you always wanted to talk about

Therefore, all our coaches have years of experience as practical executive leaders.

Challenging

You run your business!
We don't know your business better than you do, but we enable you to change perspectives and grow using your own resources. We will systematically question everything that currently hinders you from being more successful.

Stand up to us!
If you critically examine what you do, you will find better and simpler solutions. We are not there to tell you what to do, but to challenge you to come up with new methods and practices. Only after you have successfully defended your ideas, you will be able to put them into practice.

The Ivy League method
Students of the best universities learn on their own. The professor’s Socratic skill is merely to ask the right questions. These questions result in the creation of the best ideas (and not only one idea!) and are the guarantee of future development. This is our challenging approach.

Nobody can tell you which solution is best for you Only by questioning all the ‚truths’ you currently take for granted will you develop new perspectives. We challenge your view and guide you until you have found not just a satisfactory solution but a better: solution process.

We will trigger your spirit of resistance. To stand up to provocation will help you to see your own values more clearly - and change them when necessary.

While that will never affect our communication style – which is strictly curteous and respectful – it will show in our unwavering commitment to achieving the goals we agreed on.

Individual

You are as individual as your organization. Therefore, no "on-size-fits-all" solution will enable you to progress to realize you full potential.

Human beings absorb information in seminars. But only 2 – 3% of participants incorporate what they learn into their daily work.

The majority of us learn best if what we learn is adapted to us individually and can be implemented in concrete everyday situations.

Added Value

Whatever you do has to create added value for others. Without this there is no added value that can be translated into profit.

Finding added value can be difficult, especially if you're focused on existing solutions. We identify added value by consistently changing your perspective and by looking at your customer's interest drivers.

Aligning with the added value for your customers, employees or other stakeholders is the best recipe for remaining competitive and innovative.

KIS!

(You don’t know what ‘KIS’ stands for? It’s a more polite form of ‘KISS’ – ‘Keep It Simple, Stupid!)

The best way to create problems and lose money is to increase complexity. Many projects and initiatives have failed because of its sheer complexity. It’s a common mistake to believe that you can control everything.

Instead, effectiveness is based on

  • defining a manageable number of clear goals,
  • freedom and self-responsibility in implementation,
  • empowering people to decide and act freely and in the best interest of the organization, and
  • a self-regulatory control and steering system that is aligned with the administration requirements of your business.

Levers

Generally, you need just a few levers to steer, but you must position them for maximum effect. Too many sub-goals and control factors are the best way to miss your goals.

The majority of success stories are based on 4 - 5 control factors, sometimes fewer than that. We will find yours in a joint effort.

Determination

Neither human beings nor systems can be changed quickly just by telling them to do so.

All improvement and change is part of a learning process, takes place in steps and is highly individualistic.

No two people are the same and no two organizations need the same change process.

Determination is required for success. ECM only implements processes that are defined for each individual and organization and are implemented in a step wise fashion.
